TDK EPCOS price list — latest edition, free PDF download
The current TDK EPCOS price list for India is published on this page as a downloadable PDF, and we replace it the moment TDK India releases a new edition. Every price list we host is the manufacturer’s own list-price document — capacitors, detuned filter reactors, APFC controllers and switching devices, with order codes exactly as printed. For your net landed price against a specific bill of material, mail the list to support@skylightsenergy.in and Skylights Energy will quote it.
In the Indian LT switchgear trade, “TDK” means TDK India Private Limited and its EPCOS range of power factor correction components — the parts panel builders buy for APFC panels: PhaseCap and PhiCap capacitors, MKK cylindrical units, detuned filter reactors and power factor controllers. Same TDK Corporation of Japan, but the switchgear-facing catalogue here is the EPCOS power quality portfolio, not consumer electronics.
What’s in the latest TDK EPCOS price list
The price list is organised by product family rather than by application, so it helps to know which family your requirement sits in before you open the PDF.

How to read a TDK EPCOS price list correctly
List price is not your buying price. Like every LT component brand in India, TDK EPCOS publishes a list price per order code. Your invoice value is arrived at after the trade discount applicable to the product family and the commercial terms of the order. Discounting differs family to family — capacitors, reactors and electronics are not treated alike — and it is not printed in the PDF. Ask for it in writing; never assume the discount on one family carries to another.
GST sits on top. Prices in the list are ex-GST. Capacitors and reactors attract GST at the rate notified for their HSN classification, added on the invoice; the tax invoice we raise carries our GSTIN 29ACGFS8716B1ZZ so your input credit flows cleanly. For inter-state supply it is IGST, within Karnataka it is CGST plus SGST — the landed number is the same, the credit treatment differs.
Watch pack quantity. Several small-value items — MFD capacitors in particular — are listed at a piece rate but supplied in standard cartons. If you order a loose quantity against a carton-pack item, either the rate or the quantity has to move. Always confirm the minimum order multiple before you freeze a BOM.
Order codes carry the specification. EPCOS ordering codes (the B25… family for capacitors) encode construction, kVAr, voltage and terminal arrangement. Re-ordering from an old drawing, quote the full code, not a description — “25 kVAr capacitor” is not a buyable instruction, because the same kVAr exists in several voltage classes and duty grades at very different prices.
Selecting EPCOS capacitors and detuned reactors properly
This is where most APFC panel problems begin.
Voltage class and kVAr de-rating. A capacitor rated 480 V or 525 V operating on a 415 V bus will not deliver its nameplate kVAr — output falls with the square of the voltage ratio. That de-rating is deliberate: the higher voltage class buys you life and harmonic headroom. So when you select from the price list, decide the delivered kVAr you need at bus voltage first, then pick the order code whose nameplate rating supplies it. Sizing off the nameplate alone is the commonest cause of an APFC panel that never reaches target power factor.
Detuned reactors and tuning factor. If the load has significant harmonic content — VFDs, UPS, rectifiers, LED lighting banks, welding — plain capacitors will amplify harmonics and fail early. A detuned reactor in series shifts the resonant frequency of the capacitor-network combination safely below the lowest significant harmonic. A 7% reactor tunes below the 5th harmonic; a 14% class tunes lower still and is chosen where 3rd harmonic content is present on a distorted neutral-bearing system. Note that the capacitor in a detuned step must be of a higher voltage class than the bus, because the reactor raises the voltage across the capacitor terminals — this is exactly why the price list pairs specific reactors with specific capacitor codes in the combo lines.
Duty grade, losses and ambient. Heavy-duty and super heavy-duty grades exist for a reason: higher permissible inrush count, higher overcurrent capability, and better life at Indian panel ambient. Compare loss figures in W/kVAr if you are building for an energy-audited site, and check the ambient class against the actual temperature inside a closed LT panel in a Bengaluru summer — not the room temperature outside it. Every cylindrical unit should be mounted with its overpressure disconnector allowed the clearance the datasheet asks for; crowding capacitors defeats the safety mechanism.
Switching matters as much as the capacitor. Use capacitor-duty contactors with damping resistor contacts, never general-purpose AC-3 contactors, and move to thyristor switching where the load changes faster than a contactor bank can follow.
Why TDK EPCOS prices get revised
Price lists for this range move for reasons that are structural, not arbitrary. Metallised polypropylene film, aluminium foil, CRGO and copper for reactor windings are commodity inputs priced globally. A large part of the film and electronics content is imported, so rupee-dollar and rupee-euro movement feeds straight into cost. Freight and insurance on heavy reactor consignments react to fuel and container rates. Standards revisions — IEC and the corresponding Indian Standards for shunt capacitors, and BIS requirements where applicable — occasionally change construction or test requirements, which changes cost. And series get phased out or superseded by a newer generation, at which point the old order codes disappear from the list entirely. That last one is the practical risk for panel builders: a code you specified in a tender last year may simply not exist in the current list.
