The short answer

The latest EAPL price list PDF is on this page — click the dated file above and it downloads straight away, with no form to fill. Only the current edition stays live here, so you are not quoting from a superseded list. For an archived edition against a closed order, email support@skylightsenergy.in.

First, the name — because it costs people orders

EAPL stands for Electronic Automation Pvt Ltd — not “Electronics Automation”, which is how it is mis-typed in half the enquiries we receive and in a lot of tender documents. It is an Indian manufacturer based in Bengaluru, at the K.H.B. Industrial Area in Yelahanka New Town. Getting the name right matters when you are searching the price list for a code, raising a purchase order, or arguing a warranty claim.

For a Bengaluru buyer that also means availability: EAPL is made in this city, so lead times on standard timers, relays and meters are short and non-standard voltage or function variants need not come from another state.

Decoding an EAPL timer order code

An EAPL timer code is not decorative. It carries the family, the function and the supply — order on description instead of on code and you will often get the wrong function.

Read it in three parts. The family prefix gives you the mechanical envelope — ETR is the 17.5 mm modular body, A is 22.5 mm, B is 45 mm, H is the 48 mm panel-mount class. That is a panel-space decision made at drawing stage; you cannot swap an A for an H without changing the cut-out.

The middle characters give you the function. EAPL’s analogue timer range covers on-delay, interval, cyclic equal off-on, auxiliary relay, signal-off delay, star-delta and power-off delay. These are genuinely different devices, not settings: a cyclic timer will not do star-delta duty, and a power-off delay needs an energy reserve that an on-delay does not have. Star-delta variants exist as their own codes because the changeover gap is built into the timing sequence.

The suffix gives you supply and variant. An “-X” style suffix, a DC voltage note such as 8–30 V DC, or a wide-band designation changes the code and the price line. Quote the complete code, including the suffix, on your purchase order.

On selection: a pump or motor starter wants star-delta or on-delay with defined repeat accuracy; washing, dosing or blowdown cycles want the cyclic family; alarm hold and latch logic wants signal-off delay or an auxiliary relay type; anything needing a sequence of 4 to 15 outputs should go straight to the ST sequential family rather than cascading single timers, which is where field wiring becomes untraceable.

Protection relays, and what they actually protect

The PMD and SPP families are single-phasing preventers and phase-monitoring relays — the devices that stop a three-phase motor from running on two phases. Specify them against the fault you actually have on site: phase failure alone, or phase failure plus phase reversal, or asymmetry and under/over-voltage as well. The PVMD and PVIMD families add current sensing, so they cover overload and, in the -G and -R variants, additional monitoring functions.

RPR-01 is a reverse power relay — a generation-side requirement for DG synchronising and captive plant, not a general motor protection device. APD auxiliary and anti-pumping relays belong in breaker control circuits, stopping a breaker from repeatedly closing onto a persistent fault. Small line items, disproportionate effect on switchgear life.

How to read an EAPL price list

EAPL publishes on an MRP basis — the printed figure is a maximum retail price, and the trade price is arrived at by applying the discount applicable to that product group. So the number you see is a ceiling, not an offer, and two different product groups in the same PDF can sit on quite different slabs. Read the terms page of the PDF, not just the code tables.

Three more things to check. GST is extra — prices are ex-GST and the rate notified for the HSN code is added on the invoice. Pack and box quantity matters on the small modular items: timers and relays are usually single-piece, but accessories, sockets and mounting hardware may be boxed, and that rounds your quantity up. And check the alternate column — EAPL’s range has been in production a long time, codes do get superseded, and a list revision is where a replacement code first appears. Quoting a discontinued code is how a two-week delivery becomes a two-month one.

Why EAPL revises its price list

These are assemblies of electronics rather than metal, so the cost drivers differ from switchgear. Semiconductors, microcontrollers, displays and passives are largely imported and dollar-priced, so forex and component allocation feed straight into cost. Relay contacts use silver alloys and terminals brass, both commodity-linked; enclosures are engineering plastic, following petrochemical feedstock; laminations, winding wire and PCB laminate move independently. IS and IEC revisions can change a test, clearance or insulation requirement, and a re-engineered model returns to the list on a different cost base. Families also consolidate as digital platforms replace older analogue ones — all of which is a reason to work from the current edition.

Buying EAPL in Bengaluru and Karnataka, with pan-India dispatch

Skylights Energy has traded in the Bengaluru electrical market since 2013 and supplies EAPL timers, relays, annunciators and meters through VendorStocks, our B2B and B2C platform of around 3,000 SKUs. With EAPL manufacturing in this city and us in Bommanahalli, the loop between enquiry and material on your bench is short — which matters when a commissioning team is held up by one timer of the wrong function.

Find us at No. 15, 1st Cross, 3rd Main, Begur Cross Road, Bommanahalli, Bangalore 560068, convenient for the Hosur Road, Bommasandra, Peenya and Electronic City belt, with pan-India surface and air dispatch elsewhere. We work with panel wiring shops, pump and motor OEMs, MEP consultants and purchase teams at plants, colleges and engineering firms, and our panel arm Stellar Panels builds LT and HT panels — so we read a control schematic before we quote. We supply EAPL products; we claim no authorised-dealer appointment for EAPL.

How often this page is updated

We compare this PDF against EAPL’s published edition periodically and replace it as soon as a revision is issued, with the effective date in the file name. Older editions come down so nobody quotes a dead code. Have a newer edition? Send it to support@skylightsenergy.in.
