Privacy Policy

switchgeardeals (the "Site", at switchgeardeals.com) is managed by SKYLIGHTS ENERGY ("Skylights Energy", "we", "our" or "us") for VendorStocks, the marketplace for electrical switchgear and components that Skylights Energy operates. This policy explains what information the Site handles and how. The Site exists for:

• Backlinking. Linking buyers and search engines back to vendorstocks.com.
• Informational content. General information about switchgear and about how buying on VendorStocks works.

Because of that, the Site has no sign-up, login, contact form, cart or checkout. Account, RFQ, order, invoice and payment data is collected only on vendorstocks.com, under the VendorStocks Privacy Policy.

Information you send us

We receive personal information only when you choose to contact us: by email to support@skylightsenergy.in, by phone, or by WhatsApp message to the VendorStocks team. That can include your name, email address, phone number, business name and anything you write in your message.

Technical data from hosting

Like any website, the Site's hosting provider automatically processes basic request data to deliver pages and keep the Site secure: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. It is used only to serve the Site, protect it from abuse and diagnose problems.

What the Site does not collect

• No account, profile, order or payment information: the Site has no accounts, orders or payments
• No cookies, local storage, tracking pixels, advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts
• No requests to other sites for fonts, images or icons: all of them are served from the Site itself

Referral tags on links to VendorStocks

Some links to VendorStocks carry UTM referral tags, such as utm_source=switchgeardeals.com, so VendorStocks can count visits that come from the Site. The tags identify the Site, not you, and VendorStocks reads them under its own privacy policy.

We use the information described above to:

• Reply to your emails, calls and WhatsApp messages, and arrange live demos you ask for
• Keep the Site available and secure, and investigate misuse
• Comply with legal obligations under Indian law

We do not use it for advertising, we do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell, trade or rent personal information.

Links on the Site open other services in a new tab. Once you are there, their policies apply:

• VendorStocks: accounts, RFQs, orders, invoices, payments and cookies on vendorstocks.com are covered by the VendorStocks privacy policy and its VendorStocks Cookie Policy.
• Live demo bookings: the booking links open a Google Calendar appointment page. Google processes the details you enter under its own privacy policy, and the VendorStocks team receives your booking so it can run the demo.
• WhatsApp: the chat links open WhatsApp with a pre-filled first message. WhatsApp processes your messages under its own privacy policy, and the VendorStocks team sees your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and what you send.

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share it only:

• With the VendorStocks team: to answer your enquiry or demo request. VendorStocks is operated by Skylights Energy.
• With service providers: such as website hosting and email, which process data on our behalf.
• For legal reasons: where required by Indian law, a court order, or a regulatory or government authority.
• With your consent: when you have explicitly agreed.

The Site is served over HTTPS, so pages are encrypted in transit. It is a static site with no database, and it stores no personal data of its own. The Security Policy on the Site describes these measures in more detail.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you find a security vulnerability, please report it to support@skylightsenergy.in.

We keep the emails and messages you send us for as long as we need them to respond to you, and for any legal, tax or record-keeping period that applies. The hosting provider keeps request logs for a limited period for operations and security. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Access: ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: ask us to delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
• Withdrawal: withdraw your consent where we rely on it
• Grievance redressal: raise a complaint with us and, if it is not resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India

To exercise any of these rights, write to support@skylightsenergy.in. We respond within 30 days. For data held on vendorstocks.com, the rights in the VendorStocks privacy policy apply, and you can use the same address.

The Site does not set cookies and does not use local storage, tracking pixels or similar technologies. vendorstocks.com does use cookies, as explained in its cookie policy.

The Site is intended for businesses and professionals buying electrical switchgear. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

The Site is managed from India. Its hosting provider may deliver pages through servers in several countries, so request data may be processed outside India. Where that happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards, as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
