Where the latest Eaton Bussmann price list is
The current Eaton Bussmann series price list PDF is published on this page with its revision date on the face of the document. Bussmann is a wide catalogue — LV fuse links, high speed semiconductor fuses, DC and PV fuses, holders, bases and fuse switches — so identify the family before comparing rates. Send your part numbers to support@skylightsenergy.in for net pricing against the current revision.
Start with the part number, not the rating
Almost every Bussmann enquiry that stalls does so for one reason: the buyer sends a rating instead of a reference. “100 A HRC fuse” is not orderable. In the LV range alone, a 100 A fuse link can be a bolted-tag BS88 type, a centre-tag type, a bladed type or a Red Spot type — different dimensions, different mounting centres, different prices, and the wrong body style will not enter your existing base. Bussmann part numbers encode body style, size, rating and class, so when replacing a fuse:
- Read the full marking off the failed fuse — the complete reference plus voltage rating and class letters, not just the amperes.
- If the marking is illegible, measure it. Overall length, tag centres, tag width and thickness, and blade or barrel dimensions identify the body style.
- Check what it was protecting. A fuse guarding a semiconductor stack is not interchangeable with a distribution fuse of the same rating, whatever fits mechanically.
- Use Eaton’s own cross-reference tool before accepting an equivalent — Bussmann publishes a Fuse Finder utility, the right authority on a superseded reference — then send us the reference and we will confirm availability and lead time.
One warning on cross-brand substitution: two fuses can agree on voltage, rating and dimensions and still behave differently under fault, because their let-through energy differs. Cross-reference on class and I²t as well as mechanical fit, never on amperes alone.

No rates here — ratings, body styles and pack quantities come from the dated list.
Choosing the class, not just the current
A fuse’s class letters say what it is designed to do, and mixing them up is expensive. gG is general purpose: full-range protection of cables and distribution circuits against overload and short circuit. gM is the motor variant, dimensioned to ride through starting current while still clearing short circuits. gR and aR are semiconductor classes. The first letter is the key — g means full-range including sustained overload, a means partial-range, short circuit only, with overload left to another device.
The consequence is practical. An aR fuse fitted where a gG was specified lets an overload cook a cable, because it was never asked to detect one. A gG fuse protecting an IGBT bridge is far too slow, and the semiconductor — failing in microseconds, not seconds — goes first.
Coordinating fuses with semiconductors
I²t is the number that matters, and there are two of them. Melting or pre-arcing I²t is the energy absorbed before the element parts; total clearing I²t is everything let through before current reaches zero, arcing included. The semiconductor has its own published I²t withstand, and protection works only when the fuse’s total clearing I²t at the prospective fault current sits comfortably below it. Comparing melting I²t against the device rating is the classic error that yields a dead thyristor and an intact fuse.
Arc voltage has to be checked too. As the element parts, a current-limiting fuse generates a voltage above circuit voltage to force current down, and that arc voltage appears across the semiconductor and its snubber. On a DC link or high-voltage stack, a fuse whose arc voltage exceeds the device’s blocking capability destroys what it was fitted to save.
Breaking capacity must exceed the prospective fault current at the point of installation, not at the incomer — and the rating holds only at or below the stated voltage and current type. A fuse rated in AC does not carry that rating on DC.
Then derate for reality. Published ratings assume reference ambient and free-air mounting; inside a closed panel, beside a heatsink, or in a Bengaluru summer, usable continuous current is lower. Apply ambient and enclosure factors before sizing, and check terminal torque and busbar section — a starved connection heats the fuse and shifts its characteristic. For discrimination, compare total clearing I²t of the downstream fuse against melting I²t of the upstream one; ampere-ratio rules of thumb are a start, not a substitute.
Reading the price list and ordering cleanly
Quote the full part number. The list is organised by family and body style, so a reference without its suffix is ambiguous. Pack quantity matters too: smaller fuse links are often listed in packs, and multiplying a unit rate by a pack figure is a common error.
List price is not net price. The printed figure is the gross list rate; your net rate follows from the discount structure applicable to your buyer category, order value and application, and those differ across distribution fuses, semiconductor fuses and fuse gear. They are negotiated terms, not published percentages — ask for a written net quotation.
Add tax separately, and ask about lead time early. Rates are pre-tax; GST is added on invoice, IGST replacing CGST plus SGST interstate. Several Bussmann families are imported, so lead time rather than price is usually the binding constraint on a drive-protection order.
One naming point
Eaton completed its acquisition of Cooper Industries in 2012, so what was sold for years as Cooper Bussmann is now catalogued as the Eaton Bussmann series. Indian plant drawings still carry the old name; references are largely continuous, so quote the old number and we will match it.
Buying Bussmann fuses in Bengaluru and Karnataka, dispatched pan-India
Skylights Energy has traded in the Bengaluru electrical market since 2013 and supplies through VendorStocks, our B2B and B2C platform with roughly 3,000 SKUs. We are a supplier and stockist: we publish the latest brand price lists and quote net rates against the current revision. We do not claim to be an authorised Eaton or Bussmann distributor.
Because we also build LT and HT panels at Stellar Panels, fuse enquiries get checked rather than merely priced. Send the part number, or the protected device with its fault level and voltage, and we will confirm class, body style, holder compatibility and lead time. Dispatch is from Bommanahalli, Bangalore 560068 across Karnataka and pan-India, under GSTIN 29ACGFS8716B1ZZ.
Email support@skylightsenergy.in with your fuse schedule, or the markings off the failed fuse.
How often this page is updated
Whenever a new Bussmann revision reaches us we replace the file rather than keeping older copies alongside it, so what you download is what we quote from. The revision date is printed on the document; if it looks behind the market, write in.
Send the part numbers
Email support@skylightsenergy.in with part numbers — or the device, voltage and fault level if you want the selection checked — for net rates, pack quantities and lead times across Bengaluru, Karnataka and pan-India.
