Where to get the latest Havells price list

There is no single “Havells price list” — Havells publishes several, each with its own “List Price w.e.f.” date, and the one you need depends on whether you are buying building protection devices, industrial switchgear and power quality products, or modular switches under the Havells and Crabtree collections. This page mirrors the current edition of each so you can download the right one directly. Send your BOM to support@skylightsenergy.in for a net quotation.

Three price lists, not one

Havells price listWhat it coversWho reaches for it
Consumer SwitchgearMCB, RCCB/ELCB, isolators, changeover, SPD, SRCD/PRCD and distribution boardsContractors, builders, electricians
LV Switchgear, Controlgear & Power QualityACB, MCCB, contactors, overload relays, changeover switches, SDF, capacitors, APFC, busbarPanel builders, MEP consultants, plant teams
Havells & Crabtree Switches (Premium and Popular)Modular switch, socket and plate collections, boxes and accessoriesInterior contractors, retail counters

A single project usually needs two of these at once — the consumer switchgear list for the DBs and the switches list for the plates — which is exactly why the wrong file gets forwarded in WhatsApp groups. Check the effective date on each cover page against the copy you are holding.

Reading a Havells list price — the GST catch

Get this right before you build a BOQ.

List price is not net price. Havells publishes a list price per catalogue number. Trade buyers transact at a net price after the applicable dealer or distributor discount, which varies by range, order value, project registration and stock status. The price list is for identifying the right SKU and its list value; a written quotation is for the price you pay.

GST treatment differs between Havells price lists. The consumer switchgear list observed during research states that its list prices are inclusive of GST and are for quantity one. That is unusual in the Indian trade, where most OEM lists are quoted exclusive of tax, and it trips up estimators who reflexively add 18% on top. Read the terms block on the cover of each Havells PDF rather than assuming a house rule.

MTO SKUs. Several Havells references are marked make-to-order, with a minimum order quantity and a longer lead time. A price against an MTO line does not imply availability — that is a stock question, and we will answer it with the quotation.

Curve and residual-current selection: where Havells orders actually go wrong

Most returns we see are not defective products — they are the wrong curve or the wrong sensitivity for the load.

Curve selection. A B-curve MCB trips on a magnetic multiple suited to resistive and lighting loads. A C-curve tolerates the inrush of small motors, transformers and inductive loads, which is why it dominates Indian LT distribution. A D-curve is for genuinely high-inrush equipment — welding sets, large transformer primaries, some pump starters. Fitting a B-curve on a motor feeder produces tripping at every start; fitting a D-curve on a lighting circuit leaves a fault under-protected for too long. Choose the curve from the load, then confirm the breaking capacity in kA is adequate for the prospective fault current at that board.

Residual-current sensitivity. 30 mA is for personal shock protection on socket and lighting circuits. 100 mA and 300 mA devices are for fire protection and for upstream positions where a 30 mA device would trip on accumulated standing leakage. On a board feeding several inverters, drives, LED drivers or IT loads, natural earth-leakage current adds up — put a 100 mA or 300 mA RCCB upstream and keep 30 mA devices on the final circuits where they belong.

Earth-leakage discrimination. Two RCCBs in series at the same sensitivity will trip unpredictably together. Real discrimination needs both a sensitivity step and a time step, which usually means a selective/time-delayed device upstream. If you cannot get a selective device, split the leakage across two final RCCBs instead of stacking them.

Do not forget standing leakage in a new installation. Damp conduit runs, long cable lengths and an under-dried floor slab all raise leakage. A board that trips on commissioning and behaves three weeks later was usually never a device fault.

SPD coordination. A Type 3 SPD at the point of use protects equipment; it does not replace upstream surge protection at the service entrance. Also confirm the SPD’s backup protection requirement — a fitted SPD that is not correctly backed up is not a working SPD.

Why the Havells list changes

Havells reprices for input and compliance reasons: copper and silver in conductors, coils and contact tips; steel and engineering plastics in DB sheet metal, enclosures and moulded cases; polypropylene film and aluminium in capacitors; electronics in APFC relays, ATS controllers and electronic releases; forex and inbound freight on imported content; and re-testing costs when IS/IEC and BIS requirements are revised. Range transitions matter too — a withdrawn reference is deleted from the next edition rather than repriced.

Buying Havells in Bengaluru and dispatching pan-India

Skylights Energy has been in the Indian electrical trade since 2013, working from Begur Cross Road, Bommanahalli, Bangalore 560068. VendorStocks, our B2B/B2C platform, carries around 3,000 SKUs across switchgear, protection, control, wiring accessories and panel components, with dispatch across Karnataka and pan-India.

For contractors, panel builders, MEP consultants and purchase managers we quote against a complete BOM or DB schedule rather than one line, flag MTO references before they hold up your site, build LT and HT panels through Stellar Panels, and price panel BOMs quickly in Switchonomy. Where metering and monitoring are in scope, Switchology adds RS485 Modbus energy management on top.

How often this page is updated

Havells revises its price lists on independent cycles per product group, so we check each source list separately and replace the PDF here whenever a new “w.e.f.” edition is published. Every file on this page is labelled with its effective date.
