Latest Siemens price list — the short answer
Siemens does not issue a single India price list; it issues several, one per portfolio, each with its own “with effect from” date. The editions we hold are published on this page as downloadable PDFs and refreshed whenever Siemens notifies a revision. If you know the MLFB order numbers you need, skip the PDFs and mail the list to support@skylightsenergy.in for a quotation against the current edition.
Siemens publishes several price lists, not one
This is the single biggest reason contractors and purchase teams end up quoting from a superseded document. Ask for the list by name:
- Electrical Installations A-Z — the broad low-voltage installation portfolio: MCBs, RCCBs, RCBOs, isolators, distribution boards and related accessories.
- Low Voltage Power Distribution — MCCBs, air circuit breakers, switch-disconnectors and distribution-level protection.
- Low Voltage Control — contactors, overload relays, motor protection circuit breakers, softstarters, relay modules, push buttons and pilot devices.
- Sinova Retail Products — the modular wiring accessory range sold through the retail channel.
- RAJA+ Agriculture Starters and Controllers — the agricultural pump-starter portfolio, which matters a great deal in Karnataka.
A structural change worth noting: Siemens Limited demerged its energy business into Siemens Energy India Limited, which listed as a separate company in 2025. Transmission and high-voltage products therefore sit with that entity. Low-voltage switchgear, controlgear and wiring accessories — everything on this page — remain with Siemens Limited.
List price, net price and GST
Every figure inside a Siemens price list is a list price against an MLFB order number. The trade pays a net price, after the discount structure applicable to that portfolio and channel. Discounting is portfolio-specific — control products and final-distribution products do not behave alike — and it is commercially negotiated, which is why you will not find it published anywhere and why we apply it inside a quotation rather than on a web page.
GST is added on top of net price, at the rate notified against the item’s HSN code; LT switchgear generally sits in the 8536 family, while enclosures, meters and cables are classified elsewhere. When you compare two offers, check three lines before the rate itself: GST inclusive or exclusive, freight ex-works or delivered, and packing charged or absorbed. Most “why is his rate lower” arguments die there.
Reading a Siemens order number (MLFB)
Siemens identifies products by an MLFB order number — the alphanumeric string such as a 3RT, 3VA, 5SL or 3RB reference. It is not a random SKU: each block encodes something. The leading group gives the family (5S for final distribution and modular devices, 3R for control, 3V for moulded-case protection, 3W for air circuit breakers, 7K for metering). Later characters carry frame or size, rated current band, pole count, breaking-capacity class, coil or trip-unit variant, and terminal or accessory execution.
Practical consequence: quote the full MLFB, never a description. “3VA 250 A 4P” is not orderable — the same frame and current exist in several breaking-capacity classes and with thermal-magnetic or electronic trip units, at materially different positions in the list. Panel BOMs that carry descriptions instead of MLFBs are the main cause of wrong material arriving on site.
What the Siemens price lists cover

Motor starter coordination — the Siemens strength most buyers ignore
Siemens’ control portfolio is built around verified starter combinations, and this is where a properly used price list saves money rather than costing it.
Type 1 versus Type 2 coordination (IS/IEC 60947-4-1). After a short circuit, a Type 1 coordinated starter may be damaged but must not endanger persons or the installation — repair or replacement is accepted. A Type 2 coordinated starter must suffer no damage beyond light contact welding that can be separated easily, and must remain fit for further service. Type 2 is what a continuous-process plant actually wants on critical drives; specifying it after the panel is built is expensive.
Only published combinations count. A Type 2 claim is only valid for the specific MPCB (or fuse) + contactor + overload relay combination the manufacturer has tested and published. Mixing a 3RT contactor with another brand’s relay voids the claim, however correct the arithmetic looks. Pull the combination from Siemens’ coordination charts, then price the three MLFBs from the Low Voltage Control list.
Utilisation category matters more than amps. A contactor’s AC-1 rating (resistive/low-inductive) is far higher than its AC-3 rating (squirrel-cage motor switching), and AC-4 duty — plugging and frequent reversing — derates it further. Sizing a contactor from its AC-1 figure for a motor load is one of the most common and most expensive estimating errors in Indian panel work. Also derate the whole assembly for panel internal temperature, not ambient outside the panel, and verify temperature rise under IEC 61439.
Overload relay class. Choose the trip class (10, 10A, 20, 30) against the motor’s actual starting time, not by habit. Long-accelerating loads — fans, centrifuges, loaded conveyors — need a higher class or they nuisance-trip; electronic 3RB relays give a wider setting range and better repeatability than thermal 3RU where the duty is demanding.
What drives a Siemens price revision
Input costs, not policy. Copper for coils and busbars, silver for contact tips, cold-rolled steel for enclosures and engineering plastics all track commodity markets. Imported frames, trip units and electronics carry rupee-versus-euro exposure. Freight, both sea and air, feeds in. So do BIS and IS/IEC standard revisions, which force design changes and fresh certification, and range phase-outs — when a legacy series is superseded, the successor sits at its own list position, so what reads as an increase is often a different device altogether. Always work from the effective date on the cover.
Buying Siemens in Bengaluru and Karnataka, dispatched pan-India
Skylights Energy has traded in Bengaluru’s electrical market since 2013 and works out of Bommanahalli, Bangalore 560068. We supply Siemens LT switchgear and controlgear as a stockist and supplier — not as an authorised Siemens dealer — and we quote strictly against the current published editions so your comparison stays honest. VendorStocks, our B2B and B2C platform, carries around 3,000 SKUs across protection, control and accessories with pan-India dispatch.
Because our Stellar Panels arm builds LT and HT panels, enquiries involving starter combinations, busbar sizing or DB schedules get answered by people who assemble them. Send your BOM, motor list or panel schedule with GSTIN and delivery pin code to support@skylightsenergy.in for rates, stock position and lead time.
How often this page is updated
We review Siemens’ published price lists monthly, and within a few working days of any notified revision. Each PDF here shows the portfolio name and effective date; when a new edition arrives the file is replaced and the older one archived. If you need a superseded edition to reconcile an old purchase order, ask us.
